Card Account Closed
What This Means
The account associated with this card has been permanently closed by the bank or customer. No further transactions will be authorized. SaaS businesses must obtain a new payment method to continue billing.
Retrying will likely fail again. The customer needs to update their payment method or contact their bank.
Common Causes

- 2Bank closed the account due to inactivity or policy violations

- 3Provide a direct link to update payment method in your billing settings
- 4Allow a grace period before suspending service

FAQ
Will the customer get a new card?
Not necessarily. If the entire account was closed, there is no replacement coming. If the bank closed the account and migrated the customer to a new one, there may be a new card, but it would have completely different details.
Can automatic card updater fix this?
In some cases where the bank issued a replacement card before closing the old account, the updater may have the new details. However, if the account is truly closed, there is nothing to update to.
