1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ChurnBot Audit ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

ChurnBot Audit is operated by ChurnBot ("we," "us," or "our"). These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChurnBot Audit is a free tool that analyzes your Stripe account data to generate a churn health report. The Service provides insights into:

  • Pending subscription cancellations
  • Failed payment invoices
  • Expiring payment methods
  • Overall churn health metrics

The Service requires a Stripe restricted API key with read-only permissions to perform this analysis.

3. API Key Usage

3.1 Read-Only Access

We request only read-only permissions for your Stripe account. Specifically, we request access to read:

  • Customers
  • Subscriptions
  • Invoices
  • Payment Methods

3.2 No Storage of API Keys

Your Stripe API key is never stored. It is used only during the analysis session and is immediately discarded after your report is generated. We cannot access your Stripe account after the initial analysis is complete.

3.3 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Creating a restricted API key with only the necessary read permissions
  • Revoking the API key from your Stripe dashboard after use if desired
  • Ensuring you have authority to grant API access to your Stripe account

4. User Accounts and Data

4.1 Email Address

We collect your email address to send you your churn health report. By providing your email, you consent to receive:

  • Your churn health report
  • Optional follow-up emails with actionable insights
  • Information about ChurnBot's full product offering

4.2 Report Data

We store aggregated, non-personally-identifiable metrics from your analysis (such as total MRR, churn score, and category counts) to improve our Service. We do not store individual customer details from your Stripe account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the Service to analyze Stripe accounts you do not own or have authorization to access
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by ChurnBot and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your churn health report and the underlying data from your Stripe account remain your property.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any specific business outcomes will result from using the Service

The churn health score and recommendations are for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial or business advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CHURNBOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is $0 for the free audit tool).

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with Stripe. Your use of Stripe is governed by Stripe's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of Stripe or any other third-party services.

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
